Yutaro Sakai, who tattoos under the name Warriorism, came up in Japan and built a long career in San Francisco as a core artist at the Skull and Sword studio alongside Grime, Henry Lewis, and Lango. He works in the traditional Japanese irezumi lineage but leans openly on classical and folk Japanese painting, with a painterly, color-saturated approach. He later moved to London, first at Seven Doors Tattoo, then co-founded Red Point Tattoo and the Deco Boco creative company.
