Dokezo la Kumbukumbu

Trained in fine art in Ukraine, in a faculty of fine arts that included religious painting, Khrystych worked there until 2016 and then moved to Poland, where in 2019 she opened her own studio, Upgrade Tattoo, in Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki in the Mazovian Voivodeship, which became a recognized regional destination for high-end artistic tattooing. She works exclusively in black and grey, building images out of countless microscopic dots placed with an ultra-fine 3RL needle, using dots rather than solid shading to construct precise lines and gradations for a soft, almost mist-like result, and she applies the same method to large-scale back and chest pieces. Since 2025 she has been based in the United States, working with the Cleopatra Ink studio network, and she has won awards at several American conventions across 2025 and 2026 and serves as a convention judge. A build note that placed her studio in Poznan was an error; independent Polish business registries and the studio's own social media confirm Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki.
